126 Stations In Maharashtra To Undergo Transformation, Click To See New Looks
Soon, India’s railway stations will be transformed. What has stayed intact for decades, and in some cases over a century, is about to undergo an unparalleled transformation as part of the Indian Railways Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
The Prime Minister laid the groundwork for the redevelopment of 553 railway stations on February 26, 2024, bolstering the Centre’s ambitious ambition to transform more than 1300 railway stations around the country. Work on the reconstruction of 508 railway stations is already underway, with the PM laying the groundwork in August last year.
Around 126 stations will be transformed in Maharashtra. Out of 126 stations, 20 stations are based in Mumbai.
