An unexpected event happened on the Vande Bharat Express train traveling from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod. Smoke that looked like white mist entered one of the train coaches because of a mistake with the fire safety system in a bathroom.

The smoke came from a fire extinguisher inside the bathroom that was activated accidentally. There were no signs of fire or any problems with the train’s machinery or electricity. After checking the CCTV footage, it was discovered that a cleaning staff member unintentionally set off the fire extinguisher.

This incident took place in the C-5 coach of the train between Kalamassery and Aluva at around 8:55 in the morning. The train stopped, and the technical staff onboard inspected the coach. They found that it was filled with white mist, but there were no signs of fire or damage. They also found that the fire extinguisher in the bathroom had been activated.

Despite some news reports suggesting a gas leak, there was no such issue in the coach. The train stopped at Aluva for about 20 minutes while the problem was fixed, and it resumed its journey around 9:24 am.

Luckily, none of the passengers were affected by the smoke. Pictures of the incident showed white smoke in one of the passenger areas, and passengers were evacuated from that area as a safety measure.
