Watch: Mumbaikars Enjoy Unseasonal Rains On March 1, More Showers Can Be Expected
Mumbai had unexpected rainfall at the start of March during the intervening nights of Thursday and Friday. Multiple regions in the western suburbs, including Andheri, Bandra Kurla Complex, and Borivali, received a moderate bout of sudden rain. On the other side, the central suburbs, Thane, Palghar, Kalyan, and Badlapur interiors, as well as other nearby places, had moderate to heavy showers last night and this morning.
The unexpected rainfall is due to a low-pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea. A light rain alert was issued in several areas of the city until 9 a.m., but the weather department anticipates clear skies later in the day. A light rain alert has also been issued for the Konkan region and the remote areas surrounding it.
Many citizens have shared visuals of the weather change, as they enjoy unseasonal rains. A user taking to X wrote, โWe live in Mumbai. Ofcourse we can experience rain in any month.โ
