Watch: Fire Breaks Out At Sakinaka Commercial Unit, No Injuries Reported
On March 2, a fire broke out in a commercial unit in Mumbai’s western neighbourhood of Sakinaka; there were no casualties, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). According to the civic authority, the incident broke out at about 9.05 a.m. in a single-story structure near a bus stop on the Andheri-Kurla road.

According to the BMC, the event was quickly reported by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s Mumbai Fire Brigade. The fire confined itself to electrical wiring, electrical installation, paper reels, machinery, clothing stock, sewing machine, wooden doors, windows, wooden furniture, and other items in an area of approximately 15000 square feet divided into two sections.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade launched firefighting efforts, deploying three small hose lines to attack the flames. The event prompted authorities to mobilise, including the BMC’s Mumbai Fire Brigade and the local police agency.
The BMC stated that no injuries were recorded in the event. Firefighters successfully doused the fire at 14:25 hrs, preventing further property damage.
