Numerous smaller factories were destroyed by the force of the winds. Additionally, a 32-metre-tall thermal fluid chimney belonging to the Shreyas Intermediate Limited chemical factory collapsed onto three other structures within the factory compound. Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties or injuries.
Anant Mahadik, the factory’s general manager, stated that the combined damage to the three buildings and the chimney amounted to approximately Rs 1 crore. Some sheets from other factory buildings were also blown away by the storm. Fortunately, no workers sustained injuries.
