A second fire has broken out in Dombivli in a month’s time. A series of devastating fire incidents has rocked Dombivli in recent weeks, causing widespread concern and damage. The first incident occurred on 23rd May at The Amudan Chemical Company in MIDC, Dombivli East, followed by another fire at Indo Amines, located in Dombivli MIDC Phase 2. Reports indicated continuous explosions and flames reaching the sky, prompting fears throughout the area.
On 12th June, fire erupted just 300 metres away from the previous incident, near Abhinav Vidyalay school, at the same Indo Amines chemical company. This latest blaze occurred in the aftermath of a tragic boiler blast at factories where 10 lives were lost. Responding swiftly, Chief Fire Officer Namdeo Chaudhari confirmed the dispatch of seven to eight fire engines to combat the flames. The intensity of the fires underscores the urgent need for enhanced safety measures and vigilance in industrial areas like Dombivali MIDC.
