As heavy rains have been lashing the city, people commuting in Mumbai local trains on Central line are facing a tough time due to overcrowding.

In accordance with this, a horrifying incident occurred this morning, July 8, where a woman fell on tracks and lost her legs at Navi Mumbai’s Belapur station. She was travelling to Thane around 9.30 am.

While trying to board a crowded train, the woman slipped as she missed a step and fell on the tracks. The train was already in motion and the first coach ran over her. However, the woman survived miraculously, but lost her legs.

After co-passengers and security personnel on the platform raised an alarm, the train started reversing.

The incident was captured on camera, which shows the train reversing slowly as passengers lean to catch a glimpse of the woman. Cops are seen asking the passengers to maintain a safe distance. The woman’s feet were bloodied and she sits up with difficulty as policemen jump onto the tracks to help.
