A video has surfaced showing a BEST bus driver allegedly buying alcohol while on duty, sparking outrage. The incident occurred in Andheri West’s Versova area and was captured on video by a user named Raj Maji, who shared it on X. The footage shows the driver of an air-conditioned BEST bus on route A-259 (from Gorai Depot to Andheri Railway Station) stopping the bus near a liquor shop. While passengers waited inside, he stepped out, purchased alcohol, and returned to the bus.

This comes amid an investigation into a tragic accident in Kurla involving a BEST bus that claimed seven lives. The driver involved in the accident, Sanjay More, has been arrested and charged with culpable homicide. Authorities are probing the incident, considering factors like brake failure or human error. More is in police custody until December 21 for further investigation.
