A user shared how Blinkit prioritized his order after learning it was placed from a hospital.

Online grocery delivery services are now an essential part of modern life, especially in cities. People use these platforms not just from their homes but also from offices, hotels, while traveling, and sometimes even from hospitals.

Sanjeet Sahoo, an IIT Bombay alumnus, posted on X (formerly Twitter) about Blinkit’s thoughtful service, sharing a screenshot of the delivery notification along with a message.

In his post, Sanjeet wrote, “My heart goes out to the person who thought of optimizing for this. Thanks, Blinkit.”

The screenshot showed a notification stating that his order was prioritized. It included the message: “We noticed your order is from a hospital. Sending you and your loved ones our warm wishes.”

The post gained attention, and many users shared their own experiences.

One medical professional commented, “Definitely a noble step. I ordered something from the hospital through Blinkit and asked the delivery person to bring it to my room. I was worried he might say there’s no parking, but he delivered it without hesitation. Thank you for your empathy.”

Another user remarked, “Blinkit promises 10-minute delivery for everyone, but now they’re prioritizing some orders. Does this mean they’ll deliver in less than 10 minutes? Either way, it’s a great initiative.”

A third user praised the idea, saying, “It’s high time we appreciate and thank people who come up with such compassionate solutions. This is a great example of thoughtful design.”
