Actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after being attacked with a knife at his Bandra West home early Thursday. The attack happened when an intruder confronted his maid, leading to a fight in which Saif was stabbed multiple times.

Doctors performed emergency surgery and confirmed that Saif is now “out of danger,” but he is still under observation.

However, details of Saif’s health insurance were leaked on Twitter, causing outrage over the breach of privacy. Saif, who holds a Niva Bupa Health Insurance policy, reportedly claimed ₹35.95 lakh for his treatment, of which ₹25 lakh has already been approved. The leaked document contained sensitive information such as his member ID, diagnosis, room category, and expected discharge date of January 21.

Niva Bupa issued a statement about the leak, saying, “The recent incident with actor Saif Ali Khan is deeply concerning. We wish him a speedy recovery. A cashless pre-authorization request was sent to us upon his hospitalization, and we have approved an initial amount for treatment. The final bills will be settled as per policy terms.”

Neither Saif nor his family has commented on the leaked details.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured the public that police are making progress in finding the attacker. “The investigation is ongoing. Police have gathered significant clues and will apprehend the culprit soon,” he said on Friday.

The incident has raised serious concerns about personal safety and data privacy. Saif remains under close medical care while the police continue their investigation.
