Infosys Co-Founder Kris Gopalakrishnan and 17 Others Booked Under SC/ST Act in Alleged Honey Trap Case
Bengaluru, January 27 – Infosys Co-Founder Kris Gopalakrishnan and 17 Others Booked Under SC/ST Act
Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, former Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Director Balaram, and 16 others have been named in a case under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, according to Karnataka police. The case was filed following a directive from the 71st City Civil and Sessions Court, as per PTI.
Allegations by the Complainant
The case was filed by Durgappa, a former faculty member at IISc’s Centre for Sustainable Technology and a member of the tribal Bovi community. He alleged that he was falsely accused in a honey trap case in 2014, which led to his dismissal from IISc.
Durgappa also claimed that he faced caste-based abuse, discrimination, and threats during his time at IISc, where Kris Gopalakrishnan is a Board of Trustees member.
Other Accused in the Case
Apart from Kris Gopalakrishnan and Balaram, the accused include:
- Govindan Rangarajan
- Sridhar Warrier
- Sandya Vishwswaraih
- Hari KVS
- Dasappa
- Hemalata Mhishi
- Chattopadyaya K
- Pradeep D Sawkar
- Manoharan, among others.
