In an interview with Samdish Bhatia on UNFILTERED by Samdish, Rajkummar shared that while he is financially stable, he has ongoing expenses, including loan payments for his house. He explained that he can’t make expensive purchases without thinking twice.
He said, “Yaar, itna paisa hai nahi jitna I am sure logon ko lagta hoga. Ke bhai, iska toh bohot paisa hai, sau crore. Nahi hai itna. Bhai, EMI chal rahi hai, ghar liya hai, uski EMI chal rahi hai achha khaasa. Toh matlab, aisa bhi nahi hai ki bilkul nahi hai, aur aisa bhi nahi hai ki bohot hai. Aisa nahi hai ki aaj mann kiya toh showroom mein jaake, ‘Kitne ki hai ye?’—‘Woh sir, 6 crore ki’—‘De de.’ Aisa wala nahi hai.”
When Samdish jokingly asked if he could buy something worth ₹50 lakh without thinking, Rajkummar laughed and said he would need to discuss it first. However, he added that he could easily spend up to ₹20 lakh without hesitation.
By sharing his experience, Rajkummar challenged the common belief that all Bollywood stars are extremely rich. He highlighted the importance of financial planning and responsibility, making his story more relatable to the audience.
