Maharashtra Board Strengthens Anti-Cheating Measures for SSC & HSC Exams 2025
With the 2025 SSC and HSC Board Exams in progress, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is taking strict steps to ensure fair and transparent assessments.
The ‘Copy Mukt Abhiyaan’ (Cheating-Free Campaign) has been launched to prevent cheating and promote academic integrity among students.
Key Measures Under ‘Copy Mukt Abhiyaan’
- Drone Surveillance: Sensitive exam centers will be monitored using drones, with district authorities overseeing their implementation.
- Pre-Exam Readiness: District officials must ensure exam centers are fully prepared a day before the test.
- Video Monitoring: Surveillance cameras will be placed outside exam centers to track activities.
- Special Inspection Teams: Mobile and stationary teams, including government officials, will monitor exam centers.
- Facial Recognition Technology: Used to verify the identities of invigilators, supervisors, and staff.
- Strict Legal Action: The Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act, 1982, will be enforced, making malpractices a non-bailable offense.
- Xerox Centers Closed: All photocopy shops within 500 meters of exam centers will remain shut.
- Section 144 Imposed: The Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) will be enforced around exam centers to prevent gatherings.

These measures may be modified based on directives from MSBSHSE, the Education Ministry, and the Government of India.
