Several infants on Air Mauritius aircraft MK749 from Mumbai to Mauritius had respiratory problems due to malfunctioning air conditioning systems throughout the flight.

A passenger onboard the flight speaking with news agency ANI said, “Several infants and a 78-year-old passenger on Air Mauritius’ Mumbai to Mauritius flight MK749 developed breathing problems because the ACs onboard the flight were not working. The flight was scheduled to depart at 4:30 a.m. today. Passengers boarded around 3.45 a.m., but the aircraft experienced an engine problem.”

The passengers remained inside the plane for more than 5 hours and were not permitted to depart. Another passenger told ANI, “The flight has been cancelled, and additional arrangements are being prepared.”

In the middle of this, a 78-year-old passenger named Banudutt Boolauky is alleged to be having difficulty breathing. Attempts to contact airport authorities and Air Mauritius allegedly failed.

Meanwhile, passengers boarded the plane at about 3:45 a.m. and were stuck inside, suffering severe discomfort because the air conditioner remained inoperable.

According to a passenger, the flight has been cancelled, and additional arrangements are being arranged. A word from the airline regarding the event is awaited.
