Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar issued a strong warning against conflicts between different religious groups while hosting a traditional iftar party at Marine Lines in Mumbai. His statement comes at a time when there are debates about removing Aurangzeb’s tomb. Pawar emphasized that anyone who tries to threaten or create tension among our Muslim community or takes the law into their own hands will face consequences. He stressed the importance of peace and unity in our society. During the event, Pawar also spoke about India’s diverse culture, urging everyone to celebrate festivals together. He mentioned upcoming occasions like Holi, Gudi Padwa, and Eid as examples of harmony among different communities.

Pawar also talked about the significance of Ramadan, describing it as a time for self-control, sacrifice, and compassion. He highlighted how fasting during this month helps people understand and support those who are less fortunate, promoting values that go beyond religious differences.

His remarks come amid political tensions in Maharashtra over the demand to relocate Aurangzeb’s grave in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, sparking intense debates and discussions across the state.
