Ambhora’s Iconic New Bridge Transforms Connectivity and Tourism in Maharashtra
A new bridge resembling the famous Golden Gate Bridge in Los Angeles has been built at Ambhora, on the border between Nagpur and Bhandara districts in Maharashtra. Before this bridge, locals had to take risky boat rides to cross the river because there was no connecting bridge.
This cable-stayed bridge, made with German technology, now links the two districts and encourages tourism in the area. A glass sky gallery, elevated 40 feet high, offers visitors a stunning view of where five rivers—Wainganga, Kanhan, Am, Murza, and Kolari—meet.
Ambhora, known for its religious significance at the rivers’ junction, has become more accessible with this bridge. The sky gallery includes a 40-foot lift for easy access, allowing people to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The bridge’s design and glass walkway have become a major tourist attraction, inviting people to experience the unique view of the rivers merging.
This project is expected to increase tourism and improve travel between the districts. Ambhora is now developing as a tourist spot with modern infrastructure and natural beauty, bringing it up to global standards.
This impressive bridge showcases the state’s efforts to upgrade infrastructure and enhance tourism opportunities.
