Double Olympic Medallist PV Sindhu to Marry IT Professional on December 22
PV Sindhu, one of India’s greatest badminton players and a double Olympic medallist, is set to marry Venkata Datta Sai, a senior IT professional, on December 22 in Udaipur. The wedding comes just before Sindhu’s packed 2025 badminton season, which begins in January.
Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, shared that the match was finalized only a month ago. The two families have known each other, but the details came together recently. December was chosen as the wedding month since Sindhu’s schedule will be very busy from January onwards.
The wedding will take place on December 22, followed by a reception in Hyderabad on December 24. Sindhu is expected to return to her training soon after the celebrations.
Venkata Datta Sai is the executive director of Posidex Technologies, a company whose logo Sindhu unveiled last month. Sai is the son of GT Venkateshwar Rao, Posidex’s managing director and a former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer.
Sai has an impressive educational background, holding a Diploma in Liberal Arts and a BBA in Accounting and Finance from FLAME University. He also earned a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from IIIT Bangalore.
His professional experience includes working with JSW and Sour Apple Asset Management before joining Posidex in 2019. Sai has contributed to developing advanced search engines for major banks like HDFC and ICICI.
This marriage marks an important personal milestone for Sindhu as she continues to balance her successful sports career with her personal life.
