Even six airbags couldn’t save lives! Three casualties in the accident in Sangli

In a tragic incident, three people lost their lives and one was seriously injured when the driver of the vehicle lost control and collided with the divider. The impact of the collision was so severe that the people lost their lives on the spot despite the presence of six airbags in the vehicle. The accident occurred near Sangli on the Ratnagiri-Nagpur highway on Monday evening. 

The deceased are identified as Suryakant Dagdu Jadhav (52), Gauri Vinayak Jadhav (35), and Yuvraj Vijay Jadhav (32). The person seriously injured in the accident is identified as Prashant Pandurang Chile (40). 

The incident occurred near the Shirdhon bridge in Kavathe Mahankal taluka of Sangli district when the driver lost control of the car, causing it to collide with the divider. The car was en route from Sangli to Kolhapur.

Despite immediate response from Kavathe Mahankal police, three occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead, and one person sustained critical injuries, receiving treatment at a government hospital in Miraj. 

The victims were residents of Kolhapur and met with the accident while returning from Sangli. The car’s six airbags were unable to prevent the tragic outcome.
