Fitelo Impresses Sharks with a ₹150 Crore Deal on Shark Tank India
In a recent episode of Shark Tank India, two young entrepreneurs pitched their fitness and wellness app, Fitelo, surprising the judges with its high valuation. They asked for ₹1.5 crore for 0.5% equity, valuing their startup at ₹300 crore.
Anupam Mittal’s Fun Comment on Fitelo’s Valuation
Shark Anupam Mittal jokingly said, “Your valuation is obese.” However, the founders explained how their own weight loss struggles inspired them to create Fitelo. The app provides diet plans, fitness coaching, dance workouts, and mental health support.
From Past Rejections to ₹100 Crore Goal
The entrepreneurs had been rejected twice in previous seasons but kept growing their business. Their revenue jumped from ₹1 crore to ₹4 crore in earlier years, and now they aim for ₹100 crore.
Anupam noted that Fitelo’s counseling services made it different from competitors like HealthifyMe, while Vineeta Singh praised its strong customer retention, saying, “There must be something special about your app.”
Sharks Discuss Fitelo’s Future
Shark Kunal Bahl explained how customers were finding value in the app but, along with Anupam Mittal and Ritesh Agarwal, decided not to invest due to future business risks.
Vineeta initially offered a deal at a ₹75 crore valuation, but the founders declined. Then, Namita Thapar shared her personal struggles with body shaming and praised the app’s focus on mental health. She also suggested adding nutritional supplements to expand the business.
Final Deal: ₹1.5 Crore Investment at ₹150 Crore Valuation
Namita and Vineeta teamed up to offer ₹1.5 crore at a ₹150 crore valuation, including a royalty component. The founders accepted the offer, marking a big win for Fitelo.
From past rejections to a major investment, Fitelo’s journey proves its potential in India’s fast-growing fitness and wellness industry.
