Radhika Munshi, an alumna of IIT Roorkee and IIM Ahmedabad, left her high-paying corporate job to start her own saree brand, Anorah. Launched in 2023, her brand has quickly gained popularity, with many customers returning for her sarees.

In a series of Instagram posts, Munshi shared her journey from being a top student aiming for the highest salary to becoming an entrepreneur. She explained that despite the financial security of a corporate job, no salary could match the excitement of running her own business.

“I was the topper at IIM Ahmedabad, and back then, my goal was to get the highest package. But life took an unexpected turn, and I couldn’t be happier. After following the traditional IIT-IIM path, I finally decided to follow my dreams,” she wrote.

She also spoke about facing societal judgments and personal doubts while choosing entrepreneurship. However, she believes the challenges and rewards of running a business make the journey worthwhile.

“The life of an entrepreneur has ups and downs, but even the biggest paycheck can’t compare to the thrill of building something of your own. The love and appreciation from our customers make it all worth it,” she added.

Munshi’s story is a powerful example of how passion and courage can lead to success, even in unexpected ways.
