IISc Bangalore Sets GATE 2024 Pass Marks, Releases Top-Rank Holders List

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has shared the minimum marks needed to pass the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024). These marks decide if candidates can go for further GATE counseling. An IISc spokesperson mentioned, “The cut-off marks are the least scores needed for candidates to clear the GATE 2024 exam.”

The highest cut-off for GATE 2024 is 52.7 for the Humanities and Social Sciences (Psychology) paper, while the lowest cut-off is 25 for subjects such as Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mathematics, and Mining Engineering.

Earlier, the institute also revealed the names of top-rank holders in all branches of Engineering. Those interested can check the official GATE 2024 website for the complete list of subjects and their respective cut-off marks.

Here are some cut-off marks for various subjects:
– Aerospace Engineering: 33.3
– Agricultural Engineering: 25
– Architecture and Planning: 41.5
– Biotechnology: 35
– Civil Engineering: 28.3
– Computer Science and Information Technology: 24.8
– Data Science and Artificial Intelligence: 37.1
– Electrical Engineering: 25.7
– Environmental Science and Engineering: 37.9
– Geology and Geophysics (Geology): 42
– Geology and Geophysics (Geophysics): 49
– Instrumentation Engineering: 32.7
– Mechanical Engineering: 28.6
