IndiGo Passenger Disappointed After Booking ‘Window Seat’ Without a Window
A traveler on an IndiGo flight was left frustrated after paying for a window seat, only to find there was no window beside him. The incident, shared on social media, quickly went viral and prompted a response from the airline.
Passenger’s Viral Post
Pradeep Muthu, a cricket commentator for Star Sports Tamil, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his disappointment. Posting a photo of his seat with a blank wall instead of a window, he humorously tagged IndiGo and wrote, “Dei @IndiGo6E I paid for a window seat… where is the window?” He referred to the experience as “Travel Parithabangal” (Travel Sadness), and his post quickly gained attention, garnering nearly nine lakh views.

IndiGo’s Response and Social Media Reactions
IndiGo responded by asking Muthu to share his flight details via direct message for further assistance, but the airline has yet to release an official statement.
Meanwhile, social media users criticized IndiGo for allegedly charging extra for a window seat without providing an actual window. Some called it “broad daylight robbery,” while others joked about using VFX to create an imaginary view. One user wrote, “Can you guys sleep well after pulling such scams?”
The incident has sparked a debate online about airline seat allocations and transparency in seat selection policies. Many travelers are now questioning whether airlines should clearly indicate which window seats actually come with a window.
