Kaamya Karthikeyan Becomes Youngest Indian to Scale Mt. Everest
The Navy stated that Kaamya has reached six milestones in her quest to conquer the highest peak on each of the seven continents.

At the age of sixteen, Kaamya Karthikeyan has become the youngest Indian and the second youngest globally to successfully climb Mount Everest from the Nepal side. Additionally, she is now the second youngest female globally to accomplish this remarkable feat.
Praising her accomplishment, the Indian Navy, through an official statement, remarked, “Following this achievement, she now holds the distinction of being the second youngest female globally and the youngest Indian mountaineer to reach the summit of Mount Everest from the Nepal side.”
According to a statement released by the Navy, Kaamya, a twelfth-grade student at Navy Children School in Mumbai, along with her father Cdr S Karthikeyan, achieved the summit of Mount Everest (8,849 metres) on 20th May.
The Navy stated that Kaamya has reached six milestones in her quest to conquer the highest peak on each of the seven continents. Her next goal is to ascend Mt. Vinson Massif in Antarctica this December, aiming to become the youngest female to complete the ‘7 summits challenge’.

Kaamya has exhibited immense courage & fortitude in summiting the highest peaks in six of the seven continents.”
