To make the event even more inviting, the Maharashtra government has announced a toll waiver for all tourists entering Mahabaleshwar during the festival days. The update was shared by Sub-Divisional Officer Rajendra Kachre during a recent review meeting held at the Honey Directorate Hall.

🎉 Highlights of the 3-Day Festival

  • May 2: The festival will kick off in style with a formal inauguration by Governor CP Radhakrishnan, joined by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar.
  • May 3: A traditional cultural parade will light up Sabne Rasta, bringing local heritage to life.
  • May 4: The closing ceremony will feature vibrant folk performances like Lavani, Gondal, Jagar, and Dhol Vadan, with Eknath Shinde expected to be in attendance.

🛍️ Special Attractions for Tourists

  • Free gifts will be handed out to visitors throughout the event.
  • Over 100 decorative tents, inspired by Gujarat’s famous Kutch setup, will be installed across Mahabaleshwar.
  • Adventure activities and water sports will be available at Venna Lake, adding a thrill to the serene backdrop.
  • A tourism symposium will bring together industry experts, agents, and guides from across the country to explore Maharashtra’s travel potential.
  • A special showcase on forts will offer a thematic deep-dive into the historical and cultural significance of the state’s majestic fortresses.

Alongside toll-free entry, parking fee exemptions will also help reduce costs for travelers, making it more convenient for families and groups to visit.

Key officials involved in the planning include Hanumant Hede from the State Tourism Development Corporation, Tehsildar Tejaswini Patil, Chief Officer Yogesh Patil, and several senior dignitaries.
