The Maharashtra government has introduced a fully digital system for stamp duty payments, eliminating the need for physical visits to vendors and government offices. With the approval of the Maharashtra Stamp Bill, citizens can now pay online and receive instant e-stamp certificates.

Key Changes in the New System

✅ 100% Online Process – No need to visit vendors or government offices for stamp papers or franking.
✅ Simplified Applications – Earlier, submissions were made on plain paper, but now applicants must use ₹1,000 stamp paper for specific submissions.

Previously, people had to buy physical stamp papers and visit franking centers to complete the process. Even with online payments via e-challan, printed receipts had to be submitted at government offices.
