Man Attempts Self-Surgery After Watching YouTube, Rushed to Hospital in Critical Condition
People often use the internet to learn new things, but when it comes to health, this can be very risky.
In Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, a 32-year-old man named Raja Babu was hospitalized after trying to perform surgery on himself. He had been suffering from severe stomach pain for days, but despite visiting several doctors, his condition didn’t improve.
Desperate for relief, he turned to YouTube for help. He bought a surgical blade, stitching materials, and anesthetic injections from a medical store. On Wednesday morning, he attempted surgery on himself in his room.
However, when the anesthetic wore off, he was in unbearable pain. He ran outside screaming, and his shocked family immediately took him to the hospital. His nephew, Rahul, revealed that Raja Babu had tried to operate on himself after watching online videos.
Raja Babu had an appendix surgery 18 years ago, and his recent stomach pain had been persistent. With no relief from doctors, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Unfortunately, his condition worsened, and he was later transferred to SN Hospital in Agra for further treatment.
