Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, is accelerating its move toward sustainable and tech-forward mobility. The company has revealed plans to launch five new vehicles over the next few years, spanning electric cars, hybrids, SUVs, and a compact MPV—catering to evolving customer demands and strengthening its grip on diverse market segments.

Here’s a glimpse at the upcoming lineup:

1. New 5-Seater SUV – Launch Expected Within 3 Months

A brand-new mid-size SUV is gearing up for launch and will be retailed through Maruti’s Arena network. Though it may share the Grand Vitara’s platform, it will offer a refreshed design language. Positioned to take on the Hyundai Creta, this five-seater aims to offer a competitive mix of practicality and value.

2. Budget EV Based on eWX Concept – Launch Expected: 2027
Maruti Suzuki is targeting the entry-level EV segment with a new electric vehicle based on the eWX concept displayed at the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show. Expected to offer a range of 200+ km with a 35 kWh battery, this model will compete with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV, priced below ₹10 lakh.

3. Compact MPV (Codename: YDB) – Launch Timeline: Late 2027
A new sub-4 metre MPV, codenamed YDB, is in development, drawing inspiration from the Japan-spec Spacia. Set to sit below the Ertiga, the MPV will likely come with strong hybrid technology and will compete with models like the Renault Triber. Expected pricing starts at around ₹7 lakh.

4. Maruti e-Vitara (All-Electric SUV) – Launch Expected: May 2025
Maruti’s first fully electric SUV, the e-Vitara, was revealed at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. With a claimed 500 km range, bookings for the e-Vitara have already started. Priced at an estimated ₹18 lakh, it will rival the Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Curvv EV in the premium EV space.

5. Maruti Fronx Hybrid – Launch Expected: Late 2025
The popular Fronx will receive a major update in the form of a Series Hybrid powertrain developed in-house by Maruti Suzuki. It will pair a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor and battery (1.5–2.5 kWh). With a projected mileage of over 35 km/l, it could become India’s most fuel-efficient hybrid car.

Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming launches signal a major step toward electrification and innovation, aligning with the brand’s strategy to offer smart mobility solutions for every customer—be it fuel-conscious families, urban commuters, or tech-savvy EV buyers.
