Maruti Suzuki Unveils 2024 Ertiga Cruise Hybrid with New Features
Maruti Suzuki has introduced the 2024 Suzuki Ertiga Cruise Hybrid at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2024 (IIMS). This move aims to challenge the dominance of the Innova Crysta.
The new Ertiga Cruise Hybrid not only sports a fresh, sporty look but also comes with a new mild-hybrid petrol engine, marking a significant upgrade in the Ertiga lineup.
The 2024 Ertiga Cruise Hybrid showcases striking cosmetic updates, including LED DRLs, chrome accents on the front and rear bumpers, side body decals, a sleek short antenna, an upper roof spoiler, and stylish dual-tone alloy wheels. It offers color options like Pearl White with Cool Black and a monotone Cool Black for a dynamic appearance.
Under the hood, the Ertiga Cruise Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-liter K15B Smart Hybrid petrol engine, different from the India-spec Ertiga’s K15C engine. The upgraded engine comes with a larger 10 Ah battery pack to support the mild-hybrid system, leading to improved fuel efficiency.
Claiming a mileage of slightly over 20 kmpl in Indonesia, the model maintains performance with 103 bhp and 138 Nm of peak torque, available with both manual and automatic transmission options.
The 2024 Suzuki Ertiga Cruise Hybrid not only offers an exhilarating driving experience but also features a black and grey color scheme, cruise control, ventilated cupholders, auto climate control, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, among other amenities. Suzuki Indonesia provides an impressive 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty for the mild-hybrid version.
Priced at 288 million Indonesian Rupiah (approximately Rs 15.3 lakh) for the manual variant and 301 million Indonesian Rupiah (around Rs 16 lakh) for the automatic, the Ertiga Cruise Hybrid sets an ambitious tone. While it’s currently targeted at the Indonesian market, the question remains: When will Maruti Suzuki introduce this game-changing variant to Indian roads, potentially reshaping the MPV landscape in the country?
