The police on Friday detained four minor boys aged between 13 and 16 for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy on the terrace of a building in Chembur area.

According to police sources, the incident occurred on April 21. The victim’s father filed a police complaint after he received a video of the alleged incident from an unknown mobile number.

The teenagers had taken the 12-year-old boy to the building’s terrace under some false pretexts. There they allegedly sexually assaulted the boy.

The detained minor boys allegedly performed unnatural sexual acts, stated the police complaint. They then warned the boy not to disclose the incident to anyone.

On Thursday, the father of the boy, who is a local vendor, received a video on his mobile phone from an unknown number. The mobile video was of his son being exploited, police sources added. He filed a police complaint against the four minors on Thursday night after speaking to his son.

Based on the victim’s statement, the four boys were detained on Friday and sent to a child correction home along with a detailed report.
