Great news for travelers! The Nagpur-Pune and Nagpur-Mumbai train routes might soon see new Vande Bharat Sleeper trains to improve travel comfort and connectivity. The Nagpur Railway Division has officially requested the Indian Railway Board to introduce these modern trains.

Plans for New Train Services

Vinayak Garg, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Central Railway, Nagpur Division, shared in a press conference that discussions are ongoing to launch these new services. He highlighted Nagpur’s growing role in the railway network, mentioning that over 125 trains operate daily from Nagpur station. He also hinted that a Vande Bharat Sleeper train from Nagpur could be introduced soon.

Why Are These Trains Needed?

Passenger traffic on the Nagpur-Pune and Nagpur-Mumbai routes is increasing daily. However, the current number of trains is not enough, and many people struggle to find seats. Due to this shortage, several passengers choose road travel, which is often inconvenient and time-consuming.

Introducing Vande Bharat Sleeper trains would solve this issue, offering fast, comfortable, and modern travel options for passengers.

What Makes Vande Bharat Trains Special?

Vande Bharat trains are known for their advanced technology, high safety standards, and faster travel times. The Nagpur-Pune route, in particular, is experiencing a steady rise in passengers, making it a strong candidate for the new sleeper trains.

What Happens Next?

Nagpur isn’t the only city requesting these trains—other railway divisions have also submitted proposals. The Indian Railway Board will review the requests and decide once the new Vande Bharat Sleeper trains are ready. Production is currently in progress at a fast pace, so an official announcement could be made soon.

Fingers crossed for a smooth approval! 🚆
