Nargis Fakhri’s Sister Arrested in New York for Alleged Role in Fatal Fire
Alia Fakhri, sister of Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, has been arrested by New York police in connection with a fire that led to the tragic deaths of her ex-boyfriend Edward Jacobs and his partner, Etienne. The incident took place in Queens, New York, in a two-story garage that Jacobs was renovating into an apartment.
Eyewitnesses said they initially smelled something burning before flames engulfed the building. Furniture near the stairs caught fire, forcing some people to jump to safety. Alia reportedly escaped the fire but went back inside to try and save Jacobs.
Alia and Jacobs had dated for several years before breaking up a year ago. According to Jacobs’ mother, Alia stayed in touch with him even after their relationship ended.
While Nargis Fakhri has not commented on the incident, the Fakhri family has defended Alia. Their mother said, “I don’t believe she did this. She is a kind and caring person.”
Alia has been released on bail, and investigations are ongoing to uncover what caused the fire. The case has attracted widespread attention, leaving fans of Nargis Fakhri shocked and awaiting updates.
