The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation has shared news about a change in the route for vehicles on the Mumbai Channel. This change is happening because the road work on the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway capacity expansion project is now finished.

Here’s what’s new: If you’re driving from Pune towards Mumbai to Khopoli village, both light and heavy vehicles should now use two lanes on the right side of the Mumbai channel. And if you’re heading towards Mumbai, you should use the three lanes on the left side.

This change in traffic flow will start from Monday, March 4, 2024.

If anyone driving on the expressway has any trouble because of these changes, they can get help by contacting the Mumbai-Pune expressway control room. You can reach them at 9822498224. You can also contact the highway police department at 9833498334 for assistance.
