Attention all FASTag users! The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued an important reminder: make sure to update your KYC (Know Your Customer) details by February 29, 2024. Failure to do so may lead to the blocking or termination of your account.

To discourage misuse, NHAI has launched the “One Vehicle, One FASTag” initiative, urging users to link each FASTag to only one vehicle. It’s crucial for individuals to update their KYC information before the deadline to ensure smooth toll payments on national highways.

If you miss the February 29 deadline, your bank may deactivate or blacklist your FASTag account, preventing you from using it at toll plazas and causing unnecessary travel delays and inconvenience.

Updating your FASTag KYC is a simple process:

1. Visit https://fastag.ihmcl.com and access the IHMCL customer portal.
2. Sign in using your registered mobile number, password, and OTP for verification.
3. Navigate to “My Profile” in the dashboard menu.
4. Check your KYC status and update if necessary by following the website’s instructions.

NHAI emphasized that the purpose of this initiative is to deter the misuse of FASTags and ensure compliance with RBI guidelines.

With over eight crore users and a penetration rate of about 98%, FASTag has revolutionized electronic toll collection across the nation. Don’t forget to update your KYC to continue enjoying the benefits of seamless toll payment with FASTag.
