Now Make Changes to Land Records Online, No Need for Repeated Office Visits
Instead of going back and forth to Talathi offices, people can now easily update their 7/12 extracts online, including adding heirship details and extra names.
Officials say citizens can do this by registering on the Mahabhumi website. Once registered, they can choose from ten services, like adding names or correcting details, by clicking on the 7/12 extract link. There’s a deadline for each service to get cleared.
For each service, scanned documents are needed. After applying, an application ID is generated and sent to Talathi online for review. If everything’s in order, the citizen gets notified online and gets a mutation number.
With this number, one can track the document’s status. The application status can be seen on both the Aapli Chavadi portal and the main Mahabhumi website under Bhulekh.
Officials say any changes made will reflect in the 7/12 extracts within 40 days. Someone who’s used this online service says it’s convenient for anyone who owns land in the state. It’s easy to use, cuts down on Talathi office visits, removes middlemen, and increases transparency. Plus, citizens can keep an eye on their applications’ progress.
