The controversy surrounding the tragic stampede during a Pushpa 2 screening continues to grow. On Sunday, December 22, a group of people attacked actor Allu Arjun’s house in Hyderabad. The attackers reportedly threw stones, damaged property, and destroyed flower pots inside the premises. Videos of the incident have gone viral.

According to the Jubilee Hills Police, six members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC) were involved in the attack. The protestors carried placards demanding justice for Revathi, a woman who lost her life in the stampede, and financial help of ₹1 crore for her family. They also called on Allu Arjun to take responsibility for the family’s expenses. Reports say the protestors threw tomatoes at the actor’s house and even burned his effigy outside.

So far, eight people have been taken into custody by the Jubilee Hills Police. However, Allu Arjun’s family has not filed an official complaint about the attack.

The controversy began on December 4 during a special screening of Pushpa 2. A stampede broke out at Sandhya Theatre, leading to the tragic death of Revathi, a woman in the crowd. Her 8-year-old son, Sri Teja, was critically injured.

On December 21, the incident was discussed in the Telangana Assembly, where Chief Minister Revanth Reddy accused Allu Arjun of negligence regarding the stampede. Later that day, Allu Arjun addressed the media, denying the allegations.

Allu Arjun’s Statement

On December 22, Allu Arjun issued a statement warning against fake accounts and abusive posts online. He urged his fans to act responsibly, both on social media and in real life. The actor stated:
“Misrepresenting as my fans with fake IDs and fake profiles, if someone indulges in abusive posts, strong action will be taken against them. I request fans to not engage in such posts.”
