Veteran actress Rekha recently shared her fondness for Amitabh Bachchan’s quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) during her appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show. Talking to host Kapil Sharma, Rekha revealed that she remembers every line from the show.

Kapil shared a funny moment from his experience on KBC, saying, “When I was a guest on the show, Bachchan sahab asked my mother, ‘Devi ji, kya kha ke paida kiya?’” Before he could continue, Rekha completed the story, saying his mother’s reply was, “Daal-roti.” Rekha laughed and added, “Ask me, I remember every dialogue!”
Rekha and Amitabh worked together in nine hit films during the 1970s and 1980s, becoming one of Bollywood’s most popular on-screen pairs. Their chemistry sparked rumors of an off-screen romance, even though Amitabh was married to Jaya Bachchan. These rumors ended in the early 1980s, and the three later appeared together in Yash Chopra’s iconic film Silsila.
KBC, the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, began in 2000 with Amitabh Bachchan as the host. Except for one season hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh has been the face of the show, which is now in its 16th season and remains a fan favorite on Sony TV.
