A viral video shows a Russian woman charging ₹100 to Indians who wanted selfies with her. The woman, Instagram user @angelinali777, came up with this idea after being frequently asked for photos by locals. In the video, she jokingly mimics people requesting pictures, saying, “Ma’am, please, one photo? One photo? We’re tired of these requests and I have a solution,” while holding a sign that reads, “1 selfie ₹100.”

She then films herself standing on a beach with the sign, where several Indian men gather to take selfies and willingly pay her. She happily shows her earnings to the camera, saying, “Now we are all happy. Indians have their photo with a foreigner, and foreigners are not tired because they’re paid for selfies. How’s this solution?” she wrote in the caption.

Social Media Reactions

The video sparked a lot of attention online. Many were amused and surprised by people actually paying for selfies. One commenter joked, “Foreigners are now charging Indians for selfies, and Indians are paying for it. We’re done for!” Another added, “Even if she charges ₹1,000, there are people who would still pay without hesitation.”

Others praised her creativity. “Great idea! If people are so eager for selfies, why not turn it into a money-making opportunity?” one person wrote. Another said, “Good business sense! Maybe this will stop this silly behavior.”

Some users joked about the situation, saying, “You’ll be taxed soon by our tax minister,” while others suggested, “Increase the price. Charge ₹1,000—they can be pretty clingy.”
