Sajid Khan recently opened up about the difficult last six years of his life, revealing that he has often thought about ending it. He shared that he had been struggling with work and had to sell his house to move into a rented flat due to a lack of income. Despite receiving clearance from the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), he’s been unable to get back on his feet.

Sajid’s life has been tough since he was 14, after the death of his father (actor, producer, and director Kamran Khan) left him and his sister Farah Khan Kunder with significant debts. He also expressed his deep sorrow over the death of his mother, Menaka Irani, in 2024, saying that he wished she could see him trying to rebuild his life. Sajid said that he was not just her son, but also her caretaker.

His career took a major blow in 2018 during the #MeToo movement when he faced multiple sexual harassment allegations while filming Housefull 4. The accusations had a severe impact on his career, leading to the loss of job opportunities. For six years, Sajid stayed silent about it, mainly out of respect for his mother.

He admitted that the accusations affected him deeply, even leading him to consider suicide at times. However, he made it clear that he holds no grudges against anyone, accepting that whatever happens in life is meant to be. He also expressed regret about not being able to protect his mother from the mental stress she faced because of his troubles.

Regarding his time on Bigg Boss in 2022, Sajid said it was a chance to rebuild his public image after being suspended by IFTDA in 2018. He also addressed the criticism about his career, saying that he’s been through negative reviews before and that it’s impossible to please everyone. He ended by acknowledging the tough moments but emphasized his desire to move forward with his life.
