Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is all set to release his Eid film, Sikandar, on March 30th. The trailer has sparked a lot of discussion, especially about his on-screen pairing with Rashmika Mandanna, who is 31 years younger than him.
Salman’s Witty Response to Age Gap Question
At a recent press meet, Salman Khan (59) was asked about working opposite Rashmika Mandanna (28). With his trademark humor, he responded:
“People say there’s a 31-year age difference between us. But if the heroine has no problem, and neither does her father, then why should you? Tomorrow, when she gets married and has kids, we’ll still work together. She will surely get her husband’s permission, right?”
His lighthearted reply had the audience laughing. He even added, “And when she becomes a mother and her daughter becomes a star, we’ll work together then too. We’ll get the mother’s (Rashmika’s) permission for sure.”
Salman Praises Rashmika’s Dedication
Salman also praised Rashmika’s hard work, saying she reminded him of his younger self.
“She worked tirelessly, finishing her shoot for ‘Pushpa 2’ by 7 PM and joining us by 9 PM. She worked till 6:30 AM and then returned to Pushpa 2. Even after injuring her leg, she never canceled a shoot. She really reminds me of myself when I was younger.”

The trailer, released on March 23rd, showcases Salman in full action mode, taking down bad guys in his signature style. Due to security threats, the film was shot under tight protection.
Interestingly, Salman’s last film, Tiger 3, also had an unusual release strategy—it premiered on a Sunday, during Diwali, rather than the usual Friday release. Some industry experts questioned this move, as it didn’t take full advantage of the festive weekend.
With Sikandar set for an Eid release, fans are eagerly waiting to see Salman back on the big screen!
