Friday morning greeted the city with clear skies, in line with the predictions from the Indian Meteorological Department. The city and its outskirts anticipate experiencing consistently clear weather throughout the day, according to forecasts from the weather agency.

Looking into the weekend, Saturday and Sunday are projected to experience minimum temperatures of 27-28°C, with consistent conditions expected. Looking further ahead, the upcoming week may follow a similar temperature pattern, with lows ranging from 27-28°C and highs from 35-36°C. Mumbai Rains on X forecasts rainfall in Mumbai and its environs over the weekend, with showers anticipated across the city, including South Mumbai, central suburbs, Kalyan and interior regions, from 11th to 14th May. This rainfall is expected to offer relief from the prevailing high temperatures.

According to Mumbai Weather, a local weather blogger, several parts of Maharashtra will receive “pre-monsoon” rains from Thursday onwards. The post on X read, “From today onwards next few days many parts of Maharashtra will get pre monsoon rains and thunderstorms. Heaviest thunderstorms will be over Madhya Maharashtra, Ghats and South Konkan.”

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) indicated that the cyclonic circulation present over the northeastern Arabian Sea and adjacent Gujarat coastline would likely result in light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers occurring in isolated areas of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada districts.

However, for Mumbai, the IMD said the sky would be partly cloudy during the morning, becoming mainly clear in the afternoon.
