Suspect in Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case Arrested by Railway Police in Durg

The Railway Police in Durg have arrested Aakash Kanojia, the main suspect in the stabbing of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The Mumbai Police confirmed his identity through a photograph.

Arrest Made on Jnaneswari Express

Based on information from the Juhu Police in Mumbai, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Durg station detained Kanojia, who was traveling on the Jnaneswari Express. Two police teams waited at the station, and he was arrested as the train arrived.

Inspector General (IG) of RPF, Munawar Khursheed, confirmed the arrest, saying, “We received information from Mumbai Police about a suspect in the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan. The 32-33-year-old suspect was taken into custody and will be handed over to Mumbai Police for further investigation.”

Mumbai Police Take Custody

A team from the Mumbai Police arrived in Chhattisgarh on Saturday evening to take custody of Kanojia. He had been traveling in the train’s general compartment and was held at the Durg RPF post under strict security before being transferred.

Saif Ali Khan’s Condition

The 54-year-old actor, famous for his royal background, was stabbed at his Mumbai home early Thursday morning. He suffered six stab wounds, including injuries to his spine, neck, and hands. Saif is currently receiving treatment at a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

The investigation into the motive behind the attack is ongoing, and Mumbai Police have increased security around the actor’s home.
