Navi Mumbai: What began as a joyful wedding celebration ended in tragedy when a 25-year-old Swedish national died after falling from the fourth floor of a building in Sanpada.

The deceased, identified as Allde Edward Jan from Stockholm, had come to Navi Mumbai to attend a friend’s wedding held on Saturday at Raghuleela Mall, Vashi. After the event, he went out with friends but soon went missing, causing worry among the group.

On Sunday evening, his friend Pranay Shah was informed that Allde had suffered serious injuries and had been admitted to Sion Hospital in Mumbai. Shocked by the news, Shah immediately contacted the Sanpada police and shared the details.

Police investigations found that Allde had fallen from the fourth floor of a building in Sanpada. He sustained severe injuries and later passed away. CCTV footage from the area provided crucial clues. According to officers, the video showed Allde climbing over the building gate earlier and falling once before the fatal incident, suggesting there may have been multiple falls.

Police suspect that Allde may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time. However, the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report.

An accidental death case has been registered at Sanpada police station. Officers are continuing their inquiry to establish the sequence of events. Meanwhile, Navi Mumbai Police are in touch with the Swedish Embassy to inform Allde’s family in Stockholm and complete necessary formalities.
