Woman loses control of newly launched SUV in Pachpakhadi area during test drive; vehicle crashes into construction pit after hitting roadside vehicles.

News Report:
A shocking accident occurred in Thane when a newly launched Tata Sierra SUV plunged into a deep construction pit during a test drive. Despite the serious nature of the crash, all three people inside the vehicle escaped without any injuries.

The incident took place in the Pachpakhadi area of Thane. According to reports, the Tata Sierra had recently arrived at a showroom and several customers were visiting to test drive the new model. A woman who came to experience the SUV was driving the vehicle along with a showroom employee and one of her relatives.

After leaving the showroom, the SUV travelled a short distance and reached an area behind Utsav Hotel. At that point, the woman reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car first rammed into a roadside tea stall, an autorickshaw and a parked two-wheeler, causing considerable damage.

After the collision, the vehicle continued moving forward and entered a nearby construction site where foundation work was in progress. The SUV then fell into a pit estimated to be about 30 to 35 feet deep, triggering panic among local residents and workers in the area.

People nearby quickly rushed to the spot and helped rescue the occupants. The woman driver, her relative and the showroom employee all managed to come out safely despite the severe fall.

However, the Tata Sierra suffered major damage in the crash. The front portion of the SUV was badly crushed, while the roof and side sections were also severely damaged. The autorickshaw involved in the accident was also heavily damaged.

Police and emergency teams soon arrived at the spot after receiving information about the incident. Officials from the Naupada Police Station and the Thane Disaster Management Cell began efforts to remove the damaged SUV from the pit.

Although the accident appeared very serious, authorities confirmed that no one was injured. As a precaution, the three occupants were taken to Kausalya Hospital for a medical check-up. Police have started further investigation to determine how the driver lost control of the vehicle during the test drive.

The incident has drawn attention as the Tata Sierra, a well-known SUV name revived by Tata Motors, has only recently begun reaching showrooms and attracting significant interest from buyers.
