Thane Traffic Police Launch Special Helpline Support for SSC and HSC Exam Students
Thane, February 7, 2026: The Thane City Traffic Police have announced a special support arrangement to help students reach their examination centres on time during the upcoming Class 10 and Class 12 board exams.
The initiative has been introduced to assist students who may face delays due to traffic jams, vehicle breakdowns or other road-related problems on exam days. As part of the plan, 54 traffic police riders have been deployed across the city to provide quick help wherever needed.
Students or parents facing any difficulty while travelling to exam centres can contact the Traffic Control helpline numbers or send a message on the official WhatsApp number. Separate helpline numbers have also been issued for all 18 traffic units in Thane.
Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police Pankaj Shirsat has urged students and parents to immediately contact the helpline if they encounter any traffic-related issues while heading for exams.
The Maharashtra State Board Class 10 (SSC) examinations will begin on February 10, while the Class 12 (HSC) exams will start on February 20. Under the Thane Police Commissionerate, there are 223 exam centres for SSC students and 126 centres for HSC students across police zones 1 to 5.
