A new Vande Bharat Sleeper train is planned to run between Nagpur, Pune, and Mumbai, making travel faster and more comfortable. The proposal, submitted by the Nagpur division of Central Railway, is currently being reviewed by the Railway Board.

Faster Travel, More Comfort

The new train will reduce travel time on these routes:

  • Nagpur to Mumbai will take just 10 hours
  • Nagpur to Pune will be 3 hours faster than current trains

At present, trains like Superfast Express, Garib Rath Express, and Duronto Express serve these routes, but demand is high, especially during festivals.

Improving Connectivity and Passenger Experience

Nagpur Divisional Railway Manager Vinayak Garg emphasized that Nagpur is a key railway hub and that this new service will greatly improve travel options.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper will offer a faster, more comfortable alternative for long-distance passengers, featuring modern amenities to enhance the journey.

This new train service is a big step forward for Maharashtra’s railway infrastructure, improving efficiency, safety, and convenience for travelers between Nagpur, Pune, and Mumbai.
