Weather Update: Navi Mumbai Faces Heavy Rainfall, Multiple Areas Waterlogged

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in various parts of Maharashtra:
  • Red Alert: Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa on Saturday.
  • Orange Alert: Significant rainfall is forecasted for Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kutch, and Saurashtra over the weekend.
  • Delhi: Light, isolated rainfall is expected to continue for three days, with the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR predicted to be around 36 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Light rain is also predicted for July 21 and 22.

As of July 19, the all India rainfall from June 1 stood at 324.4 mm, which is 98 percent of the normal level for this period. At least 15 states and Union Territories have recorded normal or above normal rainfall thus far.
