Yuzvendra Chahal & Dhanashree Verma Officially Part Ways After Mutual Divorce
Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer-actress Dhanashree Verma have officially ended their marriage. After months of rumors, the couple was granted a mutual divorce at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai on Thursday. Chahal’s lawyer confirmed, “The divorce is finalized. The marriage is dissolved.”
Chahal and Dhanashree got engaged in 2020 and married in December of the same year in a private ceremony in Gurugram. Their separation had been the subject of speculation since December last year.
Court Decision and Legal Process
The Bombay High Court had asked the Bandra Family Court to speed up the divorce process, skipping the usual six-month waiting period. Justice Madhav Jamdar ruled that the final decision should be made by Thursday, considering Chahal’s commitments for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
There were reports that Dhanashree would receive ₹4.50 crore as alimony, but Chahal’s lawyer refused to comment on the financial settlement, saying, “No comments.”
Chahal’s IPL 2025 Move and Ongoing Rumors
Chahal is preparing for IPL 2025, where Punjab Kings (PBKS) acquired him for ₹18 crore. Meanwhile, rumors about his personal life continue. He was recently linked to RJ Mahvash after being spotted with her in Dubai during the ICC Champions Trophy. Reports suggest they were seen together just before Chahal appeared in court for the divorce hearing.
So far, neither Chahal nor Dhanashree has made an official statement about their separation. It remains unclear if they will address the media or let their legal teams handle further updates.
