New Delhi – Harsh Pokharna, CEO of OkCredit and an IIT alumnus, decided to take a break from his busy corporate life and go on a spontaneous road trip across India. With no fixed plans, he set out on an adventure, sharing his experiences with humor and honesty on Instagram.

A Journey of Simplicity and Discovery

For one month, Pokharna traveled across different places, experiencing life in unexpected ways. He:
Slept in temples for 10 nights
Ate simple vegetarian meals
Explored unique places, including a liquor store that looked straight out of an old Western movie
Visited Chittorgarh Fort, a sight so stunning that he felt no photo could do it justice

A Personal and Emotional Experience

This trip was more than just travel—it was also deeply personal. Pokharna completed his grandfather’s final rites, making the journey even more meaningful. He also met kind strangers, including a Malayali family who welcomed him into their home for three days, reinforcing his belief in India’s hospitality.

New Experiences and Unexpected Encounters

During his travels, Pokharna tried:
Couch surfing for the first time
Visiting a mosque
Exploring Gujarat’s Blackbuck National Park
Capturing raw and real moments—from local meals to a burning ghat

Staying Fit on the Road

Even on the move, Pokharna didn’t skip his workouts. He visited local gyms in small towns, often convincing the owners to let him exercise for a few days. With a touch of humor, he noted that in many smaller towns, gyms were male-dominated spaces, with the only female presence being a Katrina Kaif poster on the wall.

A Trip Beyond Just Travel

Pokharna’s adventure wasn’t just about sightseeing—it was about embracing the unknown, meeting new people, and finding meaning in ordinary moments. His journey proves that sometimes, the best experiences come from stepping outside your comfort zone and letting life surprise you.
