HCL Tech mandates three days office work per week; non-compliance faces disciplinary action
HCL Technologies, the third-largest IT company in India, has directed its Digital Foundation Services (DFS) employees to work from the office for a minimum of three days a week starting February 19.
Employees failing to comply with this directive may face disciplinary action, as mentioned in an email dated February 14.
This move aligns HCLTech with its peers like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro, who have also enforced a hybrid working model.
HCLTech stated that senior managers and the leadership team have already transitioned to the hybrid mode of work, and the same will be applicable to all DFS employees, including those in the E0 to E3 bands.
The decision comes amid ongoing debates on remote work policies in the IT industry.
