Udaan Yatri Cafe challenges high airport food prices with affordable options for travelers

Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha recently visited Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, where he stopped at the Udaan Yatri Cafe and had a cup of tea for just ₹10. Sharing his experience on social media, he pointed out that passengers can now access affordable food and beverages at airports, breaking the common belief that airport items are always overpriced.

Airports have long faced criticism for charging high prices for basic items like tea, coffee, and bottled water, often costing much more than usual. Because of this, many travelers avoid buying refreshments inside airports. Through his visit, Chadha highlighted that such issues are now being addressed.

At the Udaan Yatri Cafe, he interacted with fellow passengers, many of whom were surprised by the low prices and simple menu. The cafe offers everyday items at budget-friendly rates, including tea and bottled water at ₹10, coffee at ₹20, and snacks like samosas and sweets also priced at ₹20.

The Udaan Yatri Cafe was introduced to make airport food more affordable for common travelers. Chadha has earlier raised concerns about high pricing at airports, and this initiative reflects efforts to make basic refreshments accessible without putting pressure on passengers’ budgets.

The cafe has now expanded to several major airports across India, including Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata, and has been well received by travelers.

Chadha’s visit has drawn attention to this positive change, showing how airports are becoming more traveler-friendly. With options like ₹10 tea and low-cost snacks, passengers can now enjoy food at the airport without worrying about high prices.
